The scenic stone buildings of Champagne Deutz are snuggled up the slopes of the famous vineyards of France. The brand was founded by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann nearly a century and a half ago. Deutz Champagne boasts a long and colorful history. It was founded in 1838 as Deutz & Geldermann – the two immigrants from Napoleonic Prussia. Brut Classic Non-Vintage
This variety represents the characteristic style of elegance and finesse that is the trademark of Deutz, one of the most respected Champagne houses. This non-vintage champagne is matured as per the traditional methods from a mix of several vintages from the best crus till it reaches just the right balance of flavor. This wine has a characteristic intense gold color with fine effervescence which signifies long maturation on the sediment. The aroma begins with a whiff of hawthorn and white flowers, and is followed by smell of marzipan, toast, and ripe pears.
Brut Vintage 2004
Deutz Brut Vintage is created rarely when a vintage is declared. Till today, only 11 vintages have been released. These vintage wines are blended perfectly from the premium crus that age at least three years on the lees to develop a rich posy and essence. These grapes are harvested in the Ay, Marne Valley, Cotes des Blancs, and Montagne de Reims. The harvest usually takes place more than a 10-day time, generally between Sept 15 and Oct 15.
Blanc de Blancs 2004
The grapes for this vintage are harvested exclusively from the Le Mesnil sur Oger, Avize and Villers Marmery. Nearly forty percent of the grape is supplied from Deutz’ own vineyards.
